Juan Esteban, thanks to his professional training in management and marketing, has an extraordinary capacity to identify the strengths and weaknesses in business management, which is of particular importance when undertaking the negotiation process. Additionally, he is known for his constant defense of the Constitution and democracy in Ecuador. His defense of the rule of law is embodied in the publication of his Lawyer’s thesis which includes strong criticism of the current national Constitution.

He is known for his work on cases related to the financial and administrative aspects of the liquidation of financial institutions. His special interest in the development of and respect for due process, both in law and management processes, has ensured his particular success in defending his clients. Additionally, Mateo has focused his practice on defending cases of Damages Law, a relatively un-developed area of law in Ecuador.
